Trump adviser sells investment company

Anthony Scaramucci, an adviser to President-elect Donald Trump who is slated to join his White House team, said Tuesday that he had sold his investment firm.

“I sold my firm today,” Scaramucci said at the World Economic Forum, according to Business Insider.

“Well, almost sold,” he corrected himself. “By noon.”

Scaramucci founded SkyBridge Capital in 2005. The company has about $12 billion in assets under his management, according to Business Insider.

{mosads}Scaramucci, a member of Trump’s finance team, was tapped earlier this month for a high-level White House role. He will take over the Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs, a powerful role currently held by President Obama ally Valerie Jarrett.

The Washington Post reported he will help foster relationships with the financial and technology sector.

He previously served as a national finance co-chairman for 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s campaign and was on the finance teams for 2016 GOP candidates Scott Walker and Jeb Bush.
