Trump: I’d ‘love’ to have Ivanka, Jared Kushner ‘involved’
President-elect Donald Trump said he’d like to have his daughter, Ivanka Trump, and her husband involved in his administration.
{mosads}”We’re working that out right now. They’re both very talented people,” the president-elect said during an interview that aired Sunday on “Fox News Sunday,” when asked if Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, would be moving to Washington, D.C.
When pressed on whether they would be moving, Trump said he’ll have to see “how the laws read.”
“I would love to be able to have them involved,” he said.
“If you look at Ivanka — she’s so strongly, as you know, into the women’s issues and childcare … Nobody could do better than her.”
He said he’d love to have Kushner help on deals with other nations.
“He’s very talented, he’s a very talented guy,” Trump said.
“So we’re looking at that from a legal standpoint right now.”
A report surfaced last week that said Ivanka Trump was eyeing a move to the nation’s capital.
Trump during the interview also reiterated he would have no involvement in his business, even though he has a “legal right to be.”
“Even if I could do it, which I’m allowed to,” he said, “I wouldn’t want to do it.”
