Obama can’t stop mentioning his gray hair
Maybe being in the “gray hair club” is considered cool these days, because President Obama seems intent on acknowledging his changing hair color.
At a Democratic National Committee (DNC) fundraiser Monday, Obama made multiple mentions of his salt-and-pepper hues, telling the crowd, “And some of you have noted that I’ve now turned 50. And these are dog years that presidents live, so the gray hairs are accelerating much more rapidly than I anticipated.”
{mosads}Minutes later, the president brought up his hair color yet again, saying, “I joke sometimes not only is my hair gray, but I got little dings here and there from some of the battles we’ve been fighting.”
But the gabbing about the gray didn’t end there. At another DNC event at the St. Regis Hotel on Monday, Obama said, “And if you’re willing to sign up and get involved, knowing that we’re in for a tough fight, I promise you the American people are going to come through for us and I’m going to have four more years after this next year and a half, which means that I’m going to be really gray by the time I’m done.”
Michelle Obama has also been known to get in on the “going gray” act. In an email last week asking supporters to sign a birthday card for the president, the first lady wrote, “Every day, I see Barack make choices he knows will affect every American family. That’s no small task for anyone — and more proof that he’s earning every last one of those gray hairs.”
Earlier this year, pictures posted on The Drudge Report suggested that Obama dyes his hair. The first lady subsequently said that notion is false.
