Report: American Airlines, U.S. Airways agree to merger
{mosads}The merger could be officially announced as early as Thursday, according to the report.
The report said U.S. Airways CEO Doug Parker is expected to named leader of the merged airline and the company is expected to use American’s name.
A merger between the two airlines would have to be approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Department of Justice because of anti-trust rules.
