The statement comes after The New York Post reported that Levine had molested a teenage male for multiple years, while The New York Times reported two similar accusations against the conductor.
Met officials said Levine has denied the allegation, according to The New York Times.
The report comes as women and men across the country have come forward to accuse influential men in various industries of sexual misconduct.
