Carrier is planning to lay off 300 workers at its Indianapolis furnace factory, the same plant where it reached a deal late last year with President Trump to save roughly 1,000 jobs.

The company had previously announced plans to move coil manufacturing production lines, which would affect 600 jobs.

“This week, approximately 300 employees will leave Carrier as part of the previously announced plan to relocate fan coil manufacturing production lines,” Carrier said in a statement.

The company said the affected workers would be able to pursue employment in Carrier’s parent company United Technologies Corporation’s (UTC) manufacturing operations.

Carrier said it has kept its commitment to save 1,000 jobs

{mosads}Trump, who has touted revamping the manufacturing sector on the campaign trail and in the Oval Office, reached an agreement with the corporation in December to preserve roughly 1,000 jobs at the Indianapolis plant.

Carrier’s corporate parent, UTC, announced in June it would be hiring 25,000 people in the U.S. over the next three years.
