NY Gov. Cuomo mum on supporting Hillary Clinton presidential bid

{mosads}A PPP poll released last week showed that 61 percent of Democratic primary voters would most like to see Clinton as the party’s candidate. Joe Biden came in second, with 14 percent, and Cuomo third, with 5 percent.

Asked directly whom they would support if neither Clinton nor Biden ran, Cuomo led other Democrats with 21 percent of primary voters. Sen.-elect Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) was the only other candidate to break double digits, with 16 percent.

Pressed further on whether Clinton’s decision to run would earn his support — or affect his decision to hop into the race — Cuomo was evasive.

“Oh it’s a long way away. Whoever’s running … are you running?” Cuomo said. “Is somebody else running? … We have to assess all the candidates.”
