Ex-FBI Director James Comey compared President Trump to a “mob boss” in a taped interview with ABC News, according to a promotional video released Wednesday.
“How strange is it for you to sit here and compare the president to a mob boss?” host George Stephanopoulos asks Comey in a clip shared by ABC News.
The preview also shows Stephanopoulos asking Comey if he believes President Trump obstructed justice and if he thinks the president should be impeached.
Comey does not speak at all in the promotional clip.
The interview is set to air on Sunday night. It will be Comey’s first television interview since he was fired by Trump last May.
Comey is also scheduled to sit down for an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on April 19 and to participate in a CNN town hall event on April 25.
The media blitz coincides with the release of Comey’s book, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth Lies & Leadership,” on April 17.
Comey’s ouster from the FBI sparked the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller to lead the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
Since his firing, Comey has testified to Congress that Trump once asked him for a loyalty pledge and encouraged him to drop the FBI’s investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
