Dem lawmaker on Trump ‘s—hole’ comment: GOP needs to call this racist
Rep. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) demanded Thursday that the GOP denounce President Trump’s reported comments calling African nations and Haiti “shithole countries.”
“This is racism, plain and simple, and we need to call it that,” Walz tweeted.

{mosads}Trump allegedly made the remark during an Oval Office meeting with lawmaker on immigration policy.
“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump asked, saying the U.S. should bring in more people from countries such as Norway, whose prime minister visited the White House on Wednesday, according to The Washington Post.
Trump previously drew heat for reportedly saying immigrants from Haiti “all have AIDS” and Nigerian immigrants would never “go back to their huts” if they were allowed to enter the U.S. The White House has denied those comments.
The White House did not deny Trump’s Thursday remarks, however, instead issuing a statement saying Trump will continue to protect hardworking U.S. citizens and those seeking entrance into the country by legal means.
