Mourdock raises $1.6M, nearly doubling Donnelly in Indiana
{mosads}While Donnelly trailed Mourdock this fundraising quarter, his mark was more than double what he’d achieved in previous quarters, when he’d struggled with fundraising and failed to crack $400,000 in the last three quarters. That boost was likely aided by Mourdock’s win: few thought Donnelly could beat Lugar, but Democrats are hopeful for his chances against Mourdock.
The state leans Republican but Donnelly has a relatively centrist voting record, while Mourdock is an unapologetic conservative. The Hill rates this race a “toss-up.”
