Michelle Obama heading to Iowa
First Lady Michelle Obama is heading to Iowa to help Rep. Bruce Braley’s (D-Iowa) Senate campaign, The Hill has confirmed.
{mosads}Obama plans to hit the Hawkeye State in October to help Braley in his battle with Iowa state Sen. Joni Ernst (R), though dates and venues haven’t been nailed down yet.
The first lady is one of vulnerable Democrats’ favorite surrogates, and remains much more popular than her husband, whose numbers have plummeted in the state that launched her presidential career.
The Des Moines Register first reported the planned appearance.
