Hundreds of protesters took to the streets in Donald Trump’s hometown following his stunning victory.
Protestors marched through New York City on their way to Trump Tower a little more than 24 hours after the first polls closed the previous evening. They marched with signs that read “Trump is not my president” and “Not OKKK ‘America'” chanting “our streets” and “not my president.”

Earlier Wednesday, shortly after Trump was named the winner of the presidential race, crowds gathered across parts of California, Oregon, Washington, D.C., and New York, chanting “F— Donald Trump” and “not our president.”

Most demonstrations were nonviolent, though some protesters in Oakland, Calif., were accused of breaking car windows and setting fires. A report from NBC also said a woman was struck by a car early in the Oakland demonstrations.
Outside of Trump’s victory party in New York, protesters clashed with Trump supporters. Pop singer Lady Gaga also made an appearance, holding a “Love Trumps Hate” sign from atop a sanitation truck.
Others gathered outside of the White House, in downtown Seattle and at the University of Pittsburgh, among other locations.
