Trump: Tom Brady voted for me

Donald Trump on Monday said NFL star and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady voted for him for president.

“He called today and he said, ‘Donald, I support you, you’re my friend and I voted for you,’ ” he told attendees during a rally in Manchester, N.H.

{mosads}“So I said, ‘So Tom, you voted for me, you support me, am I allowed to say it to this massive crowd in New Hampshire?’

“He said, ‘If you want to say it, you can say it, OK?’ “

However, Brady’s wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, emphatically denied on Instagram that they were supporting the Republican presidential nominee.

Trump also praised Brady’s results on the football field.

“I want to tell you, this guy is a champ and he’s a winner,” the Republican presidential nominee said of Brady. “He’s a great person.”

Trump then read a letter he said was written by New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick lauding his White House run.

“Congratulations on a tremendous campaign,” he said Belichick wrote. “You have dealt with an unbelievable slanted and negative media, and have come out beautifully.”

“You’ve proved to be the ultimate competitor and fighter,” Trump continued to read from the letter. “Your leadership is amazing.

“I have always had tremendous respect for you, but the toughness and perseverance you have displayed over the past year is remarkable. Hopefully tomorrow’s election results will give you the opportunity to make America great again.”

Trump’s speech in Manchester late Monday night marks his final campaign rally in the battleground state of New Hampshire.

Brady and his fellow Patriots play at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., but have fans across the entire New England region, including in the Granite State.

The NFL star has repeatedly faced questions about his support for Trump due to his longstanding friendship with the billionaire.

Trump is locked in a tight race with Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton with just hours to go before Election Day.

Clinton leads Trump by about 3 points nationwide in the final hours of the 2016 race, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls.
