Khizr Kahn, the father of a fallen U.S. soldier who sparred with Donald Trump earlier this year, is starring in a new Hillary Clinton ad.

{mosads}The video tells the story of Khan’s son, Humayun Khan, who rushed a suicide bomber and died while saving his unit in Iraq in 2004. The clip shows the elder Khan leafing through pictures of his deceased son and watching footage of his funeral.

“He was 27 years old and he was a Muslim American,” Khan says in the ad.

“I want to ask Mr. Trump — would my son have a place in your America?”

The minute-long spot is set to air in the battleground states of Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Khan’s speech at this summer’s Democratic National Convention won strong praise from Democrats. Trump repeatedly criticized Khan and his wife for making political statements against him, but fellow Republicans rebuked Trump for his attacks on the family of a fallen soldier.

Early on in his presidential bid, Trump called for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration. But he’s since modified that plan to a ban on immigration from areas with prevalent terrorist networks.
