Poll: Clinton leads Trump by 3 points nationally

Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by 3 points less than a month before Election Day, according to a new national poll.

Clinton tops Trump 34 to 31 percent among likely voters in an online survey from the right-leaning Red Oak Strategic released Tuesday.

{mosads}Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson gets 7 percent and Green Party nominee Jill Stein has 2 percent, while 27 percent said they didn’t know or supported someone else.

Clinton led her GOP rival by 5 points, 36 to 31 percent, in the poll last month. Johnson’s support has dropped 3 points since then, while Stein’s has remained steady. The number of undecided voters has risen 5 points since last month’s poll.

Clinton and Trump will take to the stage Wednesday evening in their third and final presidential debate held at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

The Democratic nominee has gradually expanded her lead over Trump in national and state polls following controversy over Trump’s treatment of women.

A 2005 audio recording that emerged earlier this month captured Trump discussing his failed sexual advances on a married woman and boasting of being able to grab women’s genitalia because of his celebrity status.

Multiple women have since accused Trump of kissing or touching them without permission in the past, allegations that Trump has vehemently denied.

Red Oak Strategic conducted its latest sampling of 924 likely voters online Oct. 13-14. It has a 3.4 percent margin of error.
