Clinton to meet with top law enforcement officials amid Trump criticism

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will meet with top law enforcement officials Thursday, amid criticism from Republican rival Donald Trump that she is “against the police.”

{mosads}At Clinton’s meeting in New York will be retiring New York City Police Commissioner Bill Bratton; his successor, James O’Neill; Charles Beck of the Los Angeles Police Department; and former Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey, according to The Associated Press.

Participants from law enforcement in Arizona, New Jersey, Texas and Washington state will also be present.

Bratton in particular has been critical of Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, saying earlier this month that he lacks depth on policy issues.

Trump has cast himself as the “law and order” candidate in the 2016 presidential race.
