Trump: ‘I have zero investments in Russia’

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Tuesday disputed claims that he has financial ties to Russia.

“In order to try and deflect the horror and stupidity of the Wikileakes disaster, the Dems said maybe it is Russia dealing with Trump. Crazy!” he tweeted.

“For the record, I have ZERO investments in Russia.”

{mosads}Emails released by WikiLeaks last week showed top officials at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) apparently planning to undermine Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign.

Some evidence links the DNC hacker to Russia, and President Obama on Tuesday acknowledged the possibility that Russians hacked the party organization to influence the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.

Obama said Russian President Vladimir Putin may prefer Trump to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton because the Republican has “repeatedly expressed admiration” for Putin.

“Anything’s possible,” Obama said in an interview with NBC News.

Trump on Monday called it laughable that Russia would help his presidential campaign by leaking the emails.

“The new joke in town is that Russia leaked the disastrous DNC e-mails, which should never have been written (stupid), because Putin likes me,” he tweeted.

Clinton’s campaign manager on Tuesday said it wasn’t a “coincidence” that the emails were released the weekend before the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

“All I know is what the experts and the reporters are telling us. What they’re saying is it was likely Russian actors,” Robby Mook said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

“I think the timing around our convention was not a coincidence,” he continued.

But Mook declined to say whether he thought Trump’s presidential campaign directed Russia to hack the DNC.
