Pro-Trump super-PAC releases Clinton attack ad
A super-PAC supporting presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump released a new ad that links Hillary Clinton’s email controversy with former President Bill Clinton’s Monica Lewinsky scandal.
The 30-second ad, titled “More of the Same,” blends clips of Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton both defending themselves — using many of the same words — in their respective situations.
{mosads}The ad shows clips from an August 2015 news conference during which Hillary Clinton says that she has turned over “everything” regarding her use of a private email server while serving as secretary of State.
“I did not send classified material … and I did not receive any material that was marked or designated classified,” the Democratic front-runner said in the ad.
The ad also features clips from Bill Clinton’s January 1998 speech during which the former president responded to allegations that he had sexual relations with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky.
Bill Clinton says in the ad that he “never told anybody to lie.”
“These allegations are false,” he said in the ad.
The ad ends showing the words “same old typical politician.”
The super-PAC, Rebuilding America Now, was launched recently by Trump associate Tom Barrack and has secured $32 million in financial commitments, CNN reported.
