Trump slams ‘wacko’ Cruz, calls on him to drop out
Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump slammed “wacko” rival Ted Cruz in a tweet Tuesday minutes after the front-runner was projected the winner of the Indiana primary.
{mosads}”Wow, Lyin’ Ted Cruz really went wacko today,” Trump tweeted.
“Made all sorts of crazy charges. Can’t function under pressure – not very presidential. Sad!”

Trump also called on Cruz to drop out in light of the Indiana results.
“Lyin Ted Cruz consistently said that he will, and must, win Indiana. If he doesn’t he should drop out of the race-stop wasting time & money,” he said in a subsequent tweet.

Cruz went off on Trump Tuesday afternoon after the real estate mogul made allegations linking Cruz’s father to John F. Kennedy assassin Lee Harvey Oswald, claims laid out in a National Enquirer story.
The Texas senator called the billionaire a “pathological liar” and a “narcissist” and said he was “utterly amoral.”
In response, Trump released a statement saying that Cruz had “become more unhinged.” He called the Texan a “desperate candidate trying to save his failing campaign.”
Trump was projected to win Indiana at 7 p.m., when polls in the state closed. His vitory puts him on a clear path to clinching the nomination ahead of the Republican National Convention in July. His victory will guarantee him at least 30 of the state’s 57 delegates, which pushes him over the 1,000 mark. He needs 1,237 to take the nomination outright.
