Trump: ‘Nobody has more respect for women than me’

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is lashing out at media coverage of his treatment of women. 

“The media is so after me on women. Wow, this is a tough business,” Trump tweeted Saturday. “Nobody has more respect for women than Donald Trump!”

{mosads}A CNN poll released Thursday showed 73 percent of registered female voters had in unfavorable view of the Republican presidential front-runner.

A Reuters poll from last week found more than half of women in the U.S. had a “very unfavorable” view of Trump. 

The billionaire has faced constant criticism throughout the presidential race over his treatment of women. 

Trump this week turned hit sights on rival Ted Cruz’s wife Heidi. On Tuesday, Trump threatened to “spill the beans” on Heidi Cruz as retaliation after a super-PAC ad featured a nude photo Melania Trump. 

Trump shared an unflattering image of Heidi Cruz on Wednesday, comparing her to Melania. The image was captioned “A picture is worth a thousand words.” 

Cruz has since told Trump to “leave Heidi the hell alone.”
