Ad mocks Trump for ‘speaking with himself’
A pro-Hillary Clinton super-PAC says that despite Donald Trump’s mockery of Clinton, the billionaire businessman and Republican presidential candidate is the real punch line.
Priorities USA on Thursday responded to a Trump ad skewering the Democratic presidential front-runner for barking like a dog by cutting a copycat video mocking Trump for saying he consults with himself for foreign policy advice.
{mosads}The pro-Clinton video uses the same footage and wording as Trump’s, until cutting to a Trump interview with MSNBC from earlier this week.
“I’m speaking with myself, number one, because I have a very good brain, and I’ve said a lot of things,” Trump says in the clip.
The ad follows with a shot of Clinton laughing — footage that was taken from the 11-hour Benghazi hearings in October.
Trump’s original 15-second ad said Clinton isn’t tough enough to face Russian President Vladimir Putin or ISIS.
It featured a clip of Clinton barking like a dog. The video ends: “We don’t need to be a punch line!”
