Kasich skipping debate after Trump bails

A senior strategist for John Kasich’s presidential campaign on Wednesday announced that the Ohio governor will not be participating in the next Republican primary debate if front-runner Donald Trump follows through on his vow not to attend.

{mosads}Trump announced on Wednesday that he will skip the next Fox News debate in Salt Lake City on Monday.

“I thought the last debate on CNN was the last debate, that was going to be it. Nobody told me there were going to be more debates,” Trump said on “Fox and Friends.” “I think we’ve had enough debates.”

Kasich defeated Trump in his home state on Tuesday night, keeping his candidacy alive.
