Presidential candidates offer Cyber Monday deals

While people scour Amazon for the great deals on TVs and laptops, presidential campaigns are also taking advantage of Cyber Monday and offering special one-day promotions on merchandise to fatten their campaign coffers.

Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-Texas) campaign sent an email Monday at midnight about “CyberCruz Monday,” offering a discount on selected apparel and holiday-themed items for the next 24 hours. His campaign store also released its new holiday sweater, which features Cruz in a Santa hat surrounded by snowflakes and the White House.

Marco Rubio’s (R-Fla.) campaign continues to promote a weekend sale of free shipping and also blasted an email to supporters about a new baseball shirt available only Monday that sports “Team Marco.” Every purchase comes with a free sticker and entry into the campaign’s contest to win a ticket to the Republican primary debate in Las Vegas on Dec. 15.

Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-Ky.) official campaign website highlights Cyber Monday, asking supporters to contribute to “keep the internet free.” Paul’s store is offering some discounts, including $4 off its “Rand Christmas Mug.”

Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign provides a code for free shipping for 24 hours on orders of $75 or more. Her campaign store features new items including charm bracelets and glass sets emblazoned with her campaign logo.
