Dem NY mayor dons Trump-style hat

New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio (D) donned a hat in the style of real estate tycoon Donald Trump’s Republican presidential campaign for a new interview.

{mosads}But instead of Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan, the Democratic mayor’s cap bears another mantra: “Make America Fair Again.”

“Poppy, it’s quite obvious that if you want to get a good idea across in America, you need to put on a hat,” de Blasio told CNN’s Poppy Harlow.

The interview, which aired Thursday, focused on urban and economic issues, including a higher minimum wage plug from former Labor Secretary Robert Reich.

De Blasio also reiterated that while Hillary Clinton has offered more specifics for her campaign, he was not ready to endorse the Democratic presidential candidate.
