Poll: Biden more popular than Clinton in Iowa, NH

Two new polls find Vice President Joe Biden, who’s reportedly nearing a decision on a 2016 White House run, is more popular among Democrats and all voters in two key early voting states than Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.

{mosads}The NBC News/Marist polls released Sunday found Biden with a net 57 percent favorability rating among Democrats in Iowa and a net 2 percent unfavorability rating among all registered voters in the Hawkeye State.

By comparison, Clinton holds a net 40 percent favorability rating among Democrats and a net 29 percent unfavorability rating among all voters.

In New Hampshire, Clinton has a net 42 percent favorability score among Democrats and a net 24 percent unfavorability rating among all registered voters.

Biden’s numbers in the Granite State are net 59 percent favorability among Democrats and net 3 percent favorability among all voters.

Pollsters also found that Biden would perform better than Clinton in potential head-to head matchups against GOP candidates Donald Trump and Jeb Bush in Iowa and New Hampshire.

The Iowa poll, conducted Aug. 26-Sept. 2, has a 3.1 percent margin of error for registered voters and a 5.3 percent margin of error for potential Democratic caucus-goers.

The poll in New Hampshire, conducted Aug. 26-Sept. 2, has a 3.2 percent margin of error for registered voters and a 5.2 percent margin of error for potential Democratic primary voters.
