Trump said in 2002 he supported Iraq invasion

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who has repeatedly insisted he opposed the Iraq War before it started, said in a 2002 interview that he supported invading Iraq, BuzzFeed News has found.
 
In a radio interview with Howard Stern on Sept. 11, 2002, Trump was asked whether he supported invading Iraq.
 
{mosads}”Yeah, I guess so,” Trump replied. “I wish the first time it was done correctly.”
 
Throughout his presidential campaign, Trump has touted his early opposition to the Iraq War as an example of his good judgment.
 
“And remember this,” he said at a GOP debate earlier this month. “I’m the only one up here, when the war of Iraq — in Iraq, I was the one that said, ‘Don’t go, don’t do it, you’re going to destabilize the Middle East.’ “
