Top Trump aide: Personal attacks on Clinton will get more ‘aggressive’
Senior Donald Trump aide Stephen Miller warned Thursday that the campaign’s personal attacks on Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton would escalate as the general election approaches.
{mosads}”I think we’re definitely going to be a lot more aggressive,” Miller said on CNN.
“On the personal attacks?” asked CNN’s Brooke Baldwin.
“On every kind of attack,” Miller responded. “Because Hillary Clinton would be an extremely dangerous person to put in the White House.”
Since becoming the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee, Trump has slammed Clinton with personal attacks that largely revolve around her husband’s alleged marital indiscretions.
Trump on Wednesday accused former President Bill Clinton of rape in an interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity.
Trump also previously called Clinton an “enabler” of her husband’s affairs and accused her of playing the “woman card” to get votes.
Clinton, in an interview with CNN Thursday, refused to respond to Trump’s attacks.
“I know that’s exactly what he’s fishing for, and I’m not going to be responding,” she said.
