Clinton swings at Republicans in Super Tuesday victory speech

Hillary Clinton cast herself as the candidate for inclusion during her Super Tuesday victory speech, which sought to draw significant contrast between her and her Republican rivals for the presidency.

“All across our country today, Democrats voted to break down barriers so we can all rise together,” Clinton said during a rally in Miami after being named the projected winner in five Super Tuesday states.

“This country belongs to all of us, not just those at the top, not just to people who look one way, worship one way, or think one way.”

Clinton scored easy wins in Georgia, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee and Virginia, while rival Bernie Sanders won in Vermont and Oklahoma. While Sanders could make a play in two other states, Clinton is expected to come out on top and increase her delegate lead.

“What a super Tuesday!” the former first lady said.

She barely made reference to Sanders outside of a brief congratulation for his “strong showing.”

Most of her fire was trained on Republicans, as she cast her GOP rivals as only working for the elites and casting minorities aside.

“It’s clear tonight that the stakes in this election have never been higher and the rhetoric we are hearing on the other side has never been lower. Trying to divide America between us and them is wrong and we are not going to let it work,” she said.

“Whether we like it or not, we are all in this together, my friends, and we all have to do our part. But unfortunately, those with the most wealth in this country have seemed to have forgotten the basic truth of America.”
