David Duke encourages listeners to vote for Trump

David Duke is encouraging his listeners to vote for Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.

Duke, a white nationalist and former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard, called Trump’s victories in Nevada and South Carolina a “historic day,” on the “David Duke Radio Program” Wednesday, according to Buzzfeed News.

{mosads}He said voting for Trump’s rivals, including Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, is “really treason to your heritage,” calling the Republican establishment “your enemy.”

“I’m not saying I endorse everything about Trump, in fact I haven’t formally endorsed him. But I do support his candidacy, and I support voting for him as a strategic action. I hope he does everything we hope he will do,” Duke said.

He called Trump’s candidacy an “insurgency that is waking up millions of Americans,” and touted the front-running billionaire’s policies, including his immigration plans, and told his listeners it’s their job to “get active” and volunteer for Trump. 

“Get off your duff. Get off your rear end that’s getting fatter and fatter for many of you every day on your chairs. When this show’s over, go out, call the Republican Party, but call Donald Trump’s headquarters, volunteer,” he said.

“They’re screaming for volunteers. Go in there, you’re gonna meet people who are going to have the same kind of mindset that you have.”
