Black Lives Matter activists interrupt Clinton event

Two Black Lives Matter activists on Wednesday night interrupted a Hillary Clinton fundraising event to ask her questions about past quotes on race.

“Hillary Clinton has a pattern of throwing the Black community under the bus when it serves her politically,” youth activist Ashley Williams said in a statement before the event in South Carolina, The Huffington Post reported.

{mosads}”She called our boys ‘super-predators’ in ’96, then she race-baited when running against Obama in ’08, now she’s a lifelong civil rights activist. I just want to know which Hillary is running for President, the one from ’96, ’08, or the new Hillary?”

Williams told Huffington Post that she and another activist contributed $500 to attend the fundraiser. The event, at a private residence, had about 100 attendees.

As Clinton spoke in Charleston, S.C., Williams stood next to her holding a sign that read “We have to bring them to heel” — quoting a statement Clinton made in 1996 about at-risk youth.

She then asked Clinton to apologize to black people for mass incarceration, adding that she’s not a “super predator.”

“I wanted to bring her to confront her own words,” Williams told The Huffington Post after the protest.

“We did this because we wanted to make sure that black people are paying attention to her record, and we want to know what Hillary we are getting.”

Secret Service removed Williams from the event.
