Trump: ‘I would rather run against Hillary’ than Biden

GOP front-runner Donald Trump took to his favorite medium Wednesday afternoon to tweet his response to the news that Vice President Joe Biden had opted against running for president in 2016.

“I think Joe Biden made correct decision for him & his family,” Trump told his millions of followers. “Personally, I would rather run against Hillary because her record is so bad.”

Biden had been weighing his options for months before concluding that the window for mounting “a realistic campaign for president” had closed.

The news of Biden’s decision to sit out the race was no doubt welcomed with a sigh of relief by Trump and the other Republican presidential contenders: A recent poll found that the VP was the only potential Dem nominee likely to beat all five of the GOP’s top candidates in several swing states.
